We went to Toshio's Japanese Restaurant for my birthday on Saturday with our good friends who also have an adopted daughter from China. (Check out my link to Hunanspice!) We met almost a year and a half ago and have thoroughly enjoyed having the bond of our daughters, both being in the ministry and being the same age. Lots of FUN! The platter of food was just MY plate. The portions are huge and delicious! The batter looking stuff is called Tempura and it is to die for! It is a bell pepper, sweet potato, onion, zucchini and shrimp in this tempura batter that you dip in an amazing sauce. I will be 36 on Monday and plan to celebrate even more!
