WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

After THREE days Blogger says it is finally "resolved"!!!!!! I hope this isn't temporary. I think I need to join a Blog-o-holics group. This was REALLY hard to not blog for three days! Thank you Blogger People for fixing this issue with Safari!

This was supposed to be my pic for Wordless Wednesday so enjoy it on Friday night, now. HA!

I keep checking Blogger Help Center and they say they are still working on Safari users (for Mac). Nothing happening so far. I have "emptied the cache" and that hasn't helped either. Please come back and keep checking all my sweet Bloggy-Friends! I think this will all work out, but it is hard to gripe when Blogger is FREE, huh? Have a great weekend.

It seems that other Bloggers are experiencing the same tech problems that I am. I guess since this is a free service from Blogger that I just have to wait and see what happens. Apparently I am totally addicted to blogging with pictures, because to me it isn't worth it without them.....AHHHHH....this is KILLING me!

Fun Treat...

We were able to spend a bit of time with our friends who came through town to pick up grandparents at the airport. We had a little mini-reunion with other friends who we all used to go to the same church several years ago, but have always stayed in contact. Funderstorm's husband was the music minister and PandaPop was the youth minister at the time. We always enjoy seeing this group of people when we can.

Saturday Picnic

The weather was so gorgeous on Saturday that we just decided on the spur of the moment to go grab some fried chicken, a blanket, frisbee and a camera and headed for the duck pond. I could have laid on that blanket for hours, but a little girl really wanted to run and play so guess what we did?...ran and played. We had a great time and are so grateful that spring is arriving. For all my blogging buddies still in the snow...remember that come this summer when I am totally dead from heat exhaustion you will be in a nice, lovely climate. We have to grab a few days in the spring and fall that are the sunny 72 degree kind of weather. Hope your winter ends so very soooooon! ; )

Watching the rerun in prime-time episode of Oprah's Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa. It really made me feel for the girls and the lives they live. We are so incredibly blessed. The show was very moving.

3. DO YOU LIKE YOUR HANDWRITING
Depends on what I'm writing. I can have very fun, nice writing or print or I can be really sloppy if I don't care about what I am writing, i.e., grocery list.

4. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LUNCH MEAT?

adopted daughter from China-age 4

I live on it. I have to really watch what rolls off my tongue, because I can be negatively sarcastic if I let my carnal side rule, but then I can be really funny and have lots of harmless one-liners. That is how PandaPop and I have such a laughter filled marriage.

First? Hairstyle or how they "keep" themselves. Raggedy hair can tell you alot about a person. Now it can depend on where you are, what kind of day it is, mood and such, but for the most part you can see if someone is the kind of person who likes to put thought into how they look or could really care-less. Neither is any better than the other, just different tastes. I am VERY observant and can't stop it. I will notice the TINIEST thing about a person. I usually know what kind of car people drive, if they get a new haircut, glasses, etc. I am not judging, but I just automatically "notice" them right off the bat. I like details.

15. RED OR PINK?
RED is my absolute default color and total fav, but I adore girly PINK, too!

16. WHAT IS THE LEAST FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOURSELF?
Failing everytime I try to lose weight.

This is tough because being in the ministry I probably won't ever live near my family and then with all the close friends I have made over the years at different churches I terribly miss people I don't ever get to see. I guess the MOST right now would be my best friendFunderstorm.

Magenta.....when I was a kid I vividly remember calling it "mag-net-a" and it has always stuck out in my mind. I know. Goober.

23. FAVORITE SMELLS?
PandaGirl and PandaPop RIGHT after a bath, sometimes (especially in the country) just before it rains there is an amazing scent in the air telling of the coming rain, a smoking pipe (the kind like an old man would use, not some druggie kind!), candles: (Macintosh Apple, Orange-Cranberry, Citrus-Sage, Cinnamon-Spice, Musky scents), leather, fresh cut grass, camp fire burning, Clorox disinfecting wipes, my new Febreze plug in!!!, different kinds of men's cologne (on PP, of course!), my own perfume (Journey from Mary Kay), yummy smells while I am cooking, popcorn, oh...this list could go on & on....I guess I have a very sensitive nose.

24. WHO WAS THE LAST PERSON YOU TALKED TO ON THE PHONE?
My college friend who lives in Japan and we rarely talk to each other. One of those kind of forever friends that we just pick up like we've never been apart.

25. DO YOU LIKE THE PERSON WHO SENT THIS TO YOU?
Forever and ever, amen! Page is another college friend whom I adore. We never see each other, but I love her dearly and the memories we made in that small window of time are imprinted on me forever!

Baseball, football, golf...only on TV, soccer. I am not an athlete and never have been so "watching" is pretty much all I do.

~Thirteen of My Favorite TV Shows While Growing Up~
I know that some of these are TERRIBLE and I'd NEVER let my child watch them now, but that's what I watched as a kid and teen. Some of these are considered "wholesome family shows" even though there is smoking, being deceitful, shackin' up....yeah, these were just soooo beneficial in my own rearing. They were fun to watch though! Of course, there are gobs more, but I had to stop somewhere. Let me know if any of these were your favs, too! I know, some of you are going to say that your mom didn't let you watch "Bewitched"....well, mine did and I thought they were funny. I guess you'd really freak to know that I have seen every single "Three's Company" multiple times...HA! Wordless Wednesday #4-PG's 2nd Birthday, Oct. 2004

Playgroup at the Park

We went to a new park for us today and had a fabulous time with amazing weather!!! The girls and the mommies got lots of exercise, played, laughed and really enjoyed being out in such a gorgeous park. We missed you Cheerleader and Team Mom!

The vet called with news about Miao's surgery. All went well. I didn't mention this morning that he was also having his front claws removed. Please don't comment and gripe to me about this. I know it is painful, but he will be on plenty of meds and the doc said that technololgy has made this surgery easier for kitty-cats these days. It was a choice we had to make in order to keep him in the house. I had two cats for twelve years who had this done and they were fine. We pick him up tomorrow and get to love on him then. Thanks to all you pet lovers who understand that God does care for His creatures great and small. He is the One who created them....I believe He will watch over Miao as well.

Today's the Day

Yes, today is the day that Miao loses his manhood. Sorry, kitty-cat, but it has to be done. This is a picture of Miao from a couple of weeks ago when I found that PandaGirl had accessorized our MALE cat with this lovely pink scarf. I was crackin' up when I saw him!!! He loves his girl so much that I guess he just let her do it. This morning when we dropped him off at the vet's office we said a little prayer over him so he wouldn't be scared and that his pain would be minimal. As we were leaving and the nurse took Miao into another room, PG got all teary-eyed. Her little tender heart is so sweet! Of course, we reassured her that Miao was going to be alright. I guess more details will come later on his progress.

Hopefully today our playgroup can play at the park and have a picnic. Have a great Monday!

Friday Happenings

Yesterday I needed to go grocery shopping, but before I got to the store I needed to stop by Walgreens to get some pictures developed for an all day crop that I am going to be at today. I only had a few minutes to do this and the nice people at the photo shop said they would develop all 90 of my pictures right then. Woohoo! Wait, to good to be true. After almost an hour I got the pictures, got in my Lego (our Xterra, another story if you don't know by now), looked at the pics and....AHHHH...they were all yellow and orange tinted instead of the vibrant colors I normally get from Walgreens! So I had to go back in, try to explain to the clerk who didn't "get it", get my money back, trash the pics and then leave with nothing. Pooh! Then I had to go grocery shopping and was trying to remind myself that what had just happened was a mere inconvenience and not a big deal in the larger scheme of things. Sooooo, yesterday afternoon PandaGirl and I made some chocolate chip cookies together. FUN! I use the exact recipe from the back of the Nestle Toll House package and only ONE time have my cookies turned out like the picture at the bottom of the post. I want chewy cookies. All I get is fat, puffy, fluffy cookies. Of course, I still eat the fat, fluffy cookies, but I REALLY want the other kind!!! Any suggestions?

Well, I'm off to make some breakfast for the fam and then on to the scrapbook crop til 4PM! Have a great weekend!

The Share Game

Several nights ago PandaPop introduced a new "game" to us. Before PandaGirl goes to bed we always read books, pray and sing. Well, now we are going to be doing our new Share Game. It is so simple yet the benefits are everlasting. All we do is take a turn to tell each other two things:
1. How did I see God today?
2. What did I enjoy most about today?

It precious watching PG think about her answer and the original things shes says are straight from her heart. I think this new time is going to produce lots of good memories for our family. Every night since we started PG is the first one to ask and make sure that we are going to do "that new game". We'll see what happens...
